Craft: AG Candy Bars

McKenna is here with a basket full of candy bars featuring some of American Girl's Historical Characters and Girls of the Year.
Here are the candy bars up close. There are ten different flavors for your doll to choose from. I'll show you how to make these for your dolls.

What you need for this project:
PDF file (download it here)
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
Thick white craft foam
Glue stick or clear tape

First, cut a piece of foam 1 & 7/8 inches long and 3/4 inches wide.
Now go to your PDF pattern and select a candy bar. Measure 1/2 inch from the bottom and the top and mark where you measured. Then measure 1/4 inch to each of the sides.
Cut along. the marks you have made.
Take foam and place it on the back side of the paper. Line it up with the white space on the front where the picture splits.
Fold around the foam.
Now fold  the white part of the top over the foam.
Fold the white part of the bottom to the edge of the candy bar wrapper.
Fold over the foam and glue or tape shut.
Glue or tape shut other edges and trim off excess. Repeat with each candy bar.
McKenna can't wait to dig into one of these candy bars! Which one will she choose?
Here are some fun facts about today's post:
  • McKenna and her shirt are from American Girl
  • Her boots are from Springfield
  • Her jeans were hand sewn
  • The basket was a find at a thrift store
  •  Table tutorial is found here
