Craft: No Sew Tutu for Your Doll

Looking for a way to make a tutu for your doll without sewing? I've created a tutu for Addy.

What you need for this project:
  •  a doll
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • elastic
  • hot glue gun
  • tulle/netting/mesh fabric

Let's start with our elastic.
Wrap a piece around your doll's waist. Make sure you leave a little extra overlap.
Hot glue the elastic together. (This is what the overlapping part was for.)
It should fit nicely around your doll's waist.
Cut a piece of fabric 1 foot long.
Cut it into 1 inch wide strips. (Each piece should now be 1 foot by 1 inch.)
Fold the strip in half so a loop is created at the top.
Lay the strip under the elastic with the loop at the top.
Feed the bottom of the strip through the loop wit the elastic in between to form a knot. Pull tight.
Continue to cut strips and tie them to the elastic band.
Here is a finished tutu.
Addy is excited to start ballet!

Here are some fun facts about today's post:
Addy and her dress are from American Girl.

    1. Hey Abigail,
I don't have a button yet. But as soon as I make one, I'll write a post about it and provide the button for you to take in in sidebar. Thanks for the nice comment! :)
