Craft: No Sew Tie Blanket

When Courtney is ready to snuggle up for a nice long movie, she uses her tie blanket. This blanket does not require any sewing, so it is a very easy craft!

What you need for this project:
  • ruler
  • fabric scissors (regular will work too)
  • fuzzy fleece fabric in two colors
To start, lay out your first fabric and cut it to these dimensions. Length: 25 inches (2 feet, 1 inch)
Width 18 inches (1 foot, 6 inches)
Now lay the piece you just cut on top of your second piece of fabric.
Cut it to the same size as your first piece of fabric.
With the materials on top of each other, cut the corners out in squares. The sides of the squares should be 2 and 1/4 inches long.
Cut strips all around the blanket the same length as the squares. (2 and 1/4 inches)
Tie the strips on the top to the strips on the bottom in a knot.
Here is a finished blanket.

Courtney can stay warm with her new blanket.

Here are some fun facts about today's post:

  • Courtney is from American Girl
  • Her pajamas were sewn by my sister
